As part of Spring/Sumer campaign - 'Our World' - which focuses on Environment & Sustainability, the next book we'll explore is "The Day The World Stopped Shopping" by J.B MacKinnon.
You have until 24 July to read the book and then join us for an evening get-together over drinks and nibbles to discuss and future book club reads.

More about the author
J.B MacKinnon is the author or co-author of four books including The Once and Future World, which won the U.S. Green Prize for Sustainable Literature and The 100-Mile Diet, a bestseller widely recognised as a catalyst of the local foods movement.
MacKinnon is also an award-winning journalist. His work has appeared in such publications as the New Yorker, National Geographic, and the Atlantic, as well as the Best American Science and Nature Writing anthologies. He is an adjunct professor of journalism at the University of British Columbia, where he teaches feature writing.
